Well, I'm really stoked about this thing now!!! I can't believe for once I'll actually get to talk to guys who don't think I'm lying about shaving with a straight in my own hometown!
Thanks Doc for getting these particulars together. I live here in asheville as well, I'll be able to throw my two cents in on some good pubs and spots...
Dunno if yall like belgian beer, but there's a new place that just opened called "The Thirsty Monk" that sells solely belgian style beer on tap and in bottles. A must visit for higher octane brew fans.

Thanked: 416Hey guy just got a Pm from one of the mods over at the shave Den wanting to know if he could announce the gathering over there for their members. Do you all want this to be an SRP thing only or would you be open to allowing members who use straights from other sites to attend as well. I dont see a problem we are all brothers of the blade but wanted everyones input first, Let me know what yall think!

Shave den...
I don't have a problem with it but I don't know that site at all. I know that the ideals set by this site are pretty high and as long as they are just as high there I'd love to meet more straight shavers!

Well, y'all can list my website....
I don't know Gent's, I read the messages as they come up, but I'm not always sure that my response is necessary as I'm a vendor. In my own experience, the flow of return messages will rise and fall like the tide. This can be an odd time of year as some folks are doing outside work ( weather permitting ) and some folks are getting ready for Easter weekend, travel plans etc. to Grandma's house. Don't worry, all is well......
I do know however that without a doubt, Simon can hardly wait

Thanked: 416Well folk I can only assume that no one has a real problem with the shave den attending the gathering and perhaps we will get a few more into the fold. So If I don't hear anything today I will tell them to go ahead and post it over there, Thanks for the post Colleen I wasn't worried about the # of posts I was just hoping fpr an answer to this question in a timely fashion. Thanks Again!!

As long as they're not saying no, they must be saying yes..... Lots of the guys float between all the shaving forums. I can't imagine that any would care. Would they... ??
I think it would be Gentlemanly, to send out a notice to all of the shaving forums stating that this is a gathering organized by "Straight Razor Place" and in the spirit of the, "Brotherhood of the Blade" ( LOVED this....might want to borrow it sometime) inviting all to come.
Now all we need is huge fireplace, a castle ( oh wait we have the Biltmore ..lol ) a long table with lots of food, an Irish wolfhound or two....and we can band together....

Thanked: 416If anyones interested I am working it out so that those who are interested can go with me Saturday morning and get a nice barbers shave. I am still working this out and it will probably be with a disposable straight But still pretty cool to be able to get a shave together. I will post the price etc when I know more spoke to the owner today and he was rather excited about it. So this is an option to keep in mind. Also if your not interested in a shave you can accompany us and have your shoes shined.

Thanked: 4942I have long felt that all the forums should get along and support each other. I believe they all feel the same except for one poor soul filled with hatred. I would let them all know. Many of the guys belong to multiple forums.
I am gonna try to get there! We lived in Columbia, SC for a few years and used to ride the Harley up to this neck of the woods. Great place.
