Getting some tips from a honemeister would be great .....
I do all my own but my methods and hones change literally depending on what kinda razor I'm working on ...
It would be nice to get a comparison with some of the other guys ..

It does seem to be difficult to pin down a UK honemeister as such Garry. Doesn't look like Poona is going to manage, maybe that has changed from previous comms (Poona?), and it can only be hoped that Alex LX emergency may manage but again that looks like an outside chance. We could always fly Lynn or one of the many old hands from the states in to give us a lesson...and I'm not paying up front for that BTW !
It just means that a few of us now have 3 or 4 months to get our honing to a level that works and share some experiences. I have found this fairly difficult to organise in the sense of getting a good experienced person to show how they hone. I always felt that to be important for the day and still do. I hope it transpires that somebody will come forward and commit, otherwise it's down to a good few sharing learning experiences.

Sorry guys.
I would love to attend but that will prob be freshers week at Uni and I aint missing that for the world. lol Think of all those freshers running around looking for a man. Oh yeah! I'm their man! :P
Seriously though. I will prob be moving to England around that time for the start of Uni which will be a nightmare as I'm still tryna work out how to get all my stuff over.
If anyone has any logistical suggestions for this, I'd be more than grateful. The journey will be from Belfast > London. (or Bristol If I dont make the grades in my exams)
If I find I do have time I will be there. If only to ensure Welshwarrior doesn't start brandishing his metal wares and wreaking havoc.Last edited by poona; 04-15-2008 at 10:52 AM.

Haha, must be my Belfast accent coming through online. "looking a man" in normal proper English means 'looking for a man'.....
I shall now run to edit my post before all get the wrong idea... lol

Geez H Graham - if you can make it the following Saturday then it can be changed now. Not a big trip from London or bristol.
Come on hone folk gimme commitment, you know you want to - talk to me and let me know if/when you can! Let's make it a date. Graham - come on the following Saturday and I will buy your dinner and everyone else will buy your drink, even if it's a cappucino!
I feel like a dentist at times - gettin dates are harder than pullin teeth. Work with me here gentlemen and let's make a day out to enjoy and learn. It's getting close now. Poona - sign up to Birmingham or we're coming down to have the meet in your digs in London. You'll just have to put the freshers out the back for a while.
