Thanked: 0Ok, maybe I took a little longer to decide than I thought but I was fighting to be able to get there. Unfortunatly I won't be able to make it, away with work at the time.
I hope everyone has a great time, last years razorcon was a blast so I know you all will. So jealous.

Thanked: 131I had the job interview. Went ok I think. Was prepared well enough. They asked the questions I expected. Hope I answered them well enough though. I will hear sometime around the end of May, beginning of June.
Also, on the morning of the interview I found out I had.... another job interview! This one working as a Primary Mental Health Care Worker in a school- a school counsellor. Its a job i've done before in the actual school in question. Only before I did it voluntarily.
Lets hope out of these at least SOMETHING comes my way! That way I will be able to come to the razorcon.

Yay!
The last time I was in the same predicament I ended up having 2 offers at the same time, one with West Mids Police, the other with the tax office!
I hope you get whichever one is better for you, be it wages and benefits or not much travelling involved, though I do remember you quite liked the School job.

Thanked: 131Thank you Silver
I dont know about the school job. The up side is its something i've done before. And I had previously been doing it voluntarily. So the possibility of being paid for a job which previously didnt has a certain amount of delicious irony about it.
On the other hand it feels like being asked to come back to a job i've been sacked from. Which I hadnt, it just seems... almost like i'm being defeated. In a strange way.
My apologies for the slight detour in this thread.

Sandy, you could see it another way. Your work at the school made such an impact that it made the management/governors realise that such a role is not just desirable, but necessary for the continuing success of the school. I.e. your work made a difference such that they are willing to pay for it in future.
And who better to fill the role than the person who led them to a change in policy?
