alright, a few last minute things:

    1. meeting at noon at my place, address as above.
    2. i need people to bring folding chairs, i don't have enough chair for everyone.
    3. if someone could bring a folding table or card table, that would be awesome. i have a table for the soapmaking stuff and a larger conference table to do honing on.
    4. someone has already agreed to help me take pictures. i will also be videoing the soapmaking and any other demos that go on.
    5. re: smoking-> please take it outside, i have a covered back porch with chairs, i will also have cigars, a dozen odd pipe tobacco blends and a large four hose hookah available if you wish to try any of these things.
    6. re: drinking-> i have a large quantity of liquor on hand, but if everyone that wants beer could bring one six pack of your favorite beer, that would be great. there are 4 grocery stores within walking distance of my house, so if we run out it's not the end of the world.
    7. re: eating-> i was thinking if we get hungry, we could all chip in and do pizzas? there is a place one block over from me (little ceasars?) that does large pizzas for $5 a pop
    8. i think that about covers it. i will have 2 fully stocked shave dens if people are interested in actually shaving and have their technique critiqued, or stropping or whatever
    9. that's about it. i just had the house radiant barrier'd last week, so while it will be nice and cold in the house, there may also be a faint chemical smell. i have had box fans in the windows the last couple of days to help with this, hopefully it will be totally gone by next weekend. if anyone has any advice on how to deal with this, i'd love to hear it.
    10. if one or two of the guys that have been to meetups before wanna show up an hour early to help with setup, that would be super cool.

please post any questions or concerns, i am really looking forward to this.

    Unhappy Curses!!

I am almost certainly going to be well on my way to Boulder, CO tomorrow afternoon. This just popped up a few days ago, and I don't think I can postpone the trip till Sunday. So... y'know, modifying my RSVP to "maybe, probably not."

    One more day guys!
For the give away drawings, I'm bringing an El Toro Strop, a Filly strop, two Gold Dollar razors, two certificates for honing and two for restorations (I even pay for the return shipping). I'm sure there are other guys bringing great items too. Jockey's is doing his hands on soap making seminar, I'm doing a stropping discussion and demonstration. This would be a great time and place for guys to get help with their shaving needs. That's not to mention the fellowship of great gentleman and refreshments!
I hope we get a bunch of yaw'll come out and join us. Thanks again to Jockey's for hosting!

I'm also giving away some SRP stickers, some SRP aftershave balm (the tobacco-menthol kind, if I can find it) and some Lilac Vegetal aftershave. Can't wait!
