Thread: Toronto and Area Meet

Sorry to Hijack this thread Nathan, but it was only way to I could think of to get most the GTA members in one swoop.

I am looking at picking up some stones before the meet. I have read that CCK Store in Pacific Mall has good prices on Naniwa stones and better yet you can haggle with them. Has anyone been in this place? I know exactly where it is, if you enter the Mall from North Parking lot (between Pac MAll and Market Place) it is on your right as soon as you get in. There is a Giant Clver in the window which you can not miss.

Anyway just wondering if anyone has checked it out and is it worth the gas going out of my way to get there at 1.39l? Or are we talking saving a buck or two.

Speaking of gas prices, is it any cheaper in Canada? I'm looking at $4.00 per gallon here for 87.

I've not been there, but maybe it's worth a field trip.

I am in TDOT Wed night and Thursday. I was avoiding Markham but maybe I will get stock for the store out there and make a side trip

Field trip isn't a bad idea, if there are folks interested and if they have the goods. At some past WNY meets, there were Caswell field trips, because they are kind of close by. I guess I could also offer to make a Caswell run and haul supplies up to the meet. PM me if you want stuff, and if there is enough I'll go? (It's about 45 mins each way for me.)

Sounds like this is gonna be one fun meet up.
