Please don't take this the wrong way (because I am very ignorant when it comes to Canadian beers), but I don't know of any good ones... Labatt and Molson? Are there others?

There are lots of good ones. The only issue is if the Legion sells them.

Depending on what you like in a Beer, Rickards Red is not bad, Sleemans, Creemore Springs. And even most of our Ripp Off American brands, MGD, Budweiser are okay. I find our MGD, and BUD all better and I guess it is cause the are brewed for our market with 5% Alcohol.

Sounds like I'm in for some good experimentation on myself! I love buying random beers without knowing too much about them. I spent a whole summer once never buying the same 6/12 packs at Wegmans.

I think just about every LCBO has loose tall cans and you can mix and match

    Liquor Control Board of Ontario......

that brutal government organization that regulates AND overprices all of the alcohol in our province. Each province in Canada is required to provincially set their liquor regulations, which is why the legal age in quebec is 18 and you can buy booze at the convenience store.

Ontario....not so much. But we still have nice beer!

LCBO stands for Liquor Control Board of Ontario

You can only by Beer and liquor from Goverment run Liquor Stores here in Ontario. They are the LCBO for liquor and Beer and LLBO for Beer only.

Kind of nuts in this day and age, esp for Americans who can get beer in any store/gas station. But our system does allow for regulated prices so we pay 3 times what we need to.
