Ya, its not looking much better here in the scrub-steppe. I'm glad we pushed it back until May. I'm hoping this will lapse by then. If it snows on my birthday I'm going to be a little angry.

We will take your 2 feet of snow and/or rain here, Glen. March is supposed to be one of our snowiest months and we have had a flurry or two. No measurable snow here. Someone at work said the snowpack in the Northern Colorado Rockies was at 65%. I am afraid it is going to be a smokey summer here.....

Its getting closer and things are coming together. Wanda has been picking out the meals and I just looked into ordering up some turkey legs for one of the meals. She asked if we could put up a sign up in the thread for anyone willing to bring food items on specific days (once she finishes the menu) if that is ok by everyone. Please feel free to contact me if anyone has any food limitations.
I'm hoping to have a couple of surprises for those who show.
Someone may need to get a boat to Glen come May considering how things are out at his place, but around here the weather is clearing up and the wood stoves are out.

I should add; anyone wanting to turn a brush at the meet should contact me very soon. I do not think that we will have the time to make dozens so if you are able to tell me what days you will be attending that would allow me to schedule better.
For those who don't know I will help you turn a brush and finish one at the meet. You have to provide the knot (I can help you find them if you don't know where) and depending on what handle you want we can discuss whether you need to bring materials. I will most likely be available for that Friday evening as well for those who arrive earlier. I will try to have appropriate finishes available and sufficient epoxy to set the knot. For those that turn a handle later on Sunday I am willing to ship them to you once the finish cures.
If I don't get enough people who wish to turn handles and have not done so yet, I am willing to help those who did last year (or any other time in my shop) work on another brush.

Thanked: 13245Well as of today I am for sure making it down... We rolled the Mustang out of the polebarn without any hiccups, now I just need to fit the propeller to the rear end and I'll be ready hehehe

I forgot to tell everyone that the meet is open to all significant others and children as well. My daughter will be there.
I have arranged to have some more feminine scents in the samples being given away at the meet.
