Finished the hone....feels much much smoother than an Arkansas and softer...makes a thick slurry. Lots of silvery sparkles in the stone as well.

Ummm...huge improvement with 25 laps...used an Arkansas stone prior to this one...note...I do not have a strop at home...it makes a thick chocolate milk looking slurry easily.
Added a pic of the slurry on the kitchen counter wife would kill me Haha
It tugged before I honed it on this hone..enough it was uncomfortable...and slid through arm hair easily after the 25 laps...ill shave tomorrow. :-)

Or not...had a lot of fracture lines and finally bit the dust on me....ill get some more though Rez....only an hour or so wasted lol

The last thread about it didn't seem like anyone else was excited about it at all, suddenly I have company in my quirky hobby.
