Looking at those pics this post comes to mind:

Looks like we've been discussing for a couple of days the creation of a mirror finish on a razor-shaped object using a generic Chinese brick sold as an 8K hone.
That's a whole bunch of damage after one shave.

I was debating weather to get king or norton, but norton gets more hype than king so made my choice based on that lol

Where the damage is is the dull spot i mentioed, I dont think I ever actually honed the bevel anywhere near as well as I thought lol

Sorry, but razor and 4k/8k hone look sub standard to say the least. You may have been better off getting a shave ready razor off the classifieds here, or find a mentor near you to help. Main thing is don't give up. Helps a lot to start with a shave ready razor before investing a small fortune on hones.

I have a shavery ready dovo and it is superb. The hones are as I now know substandard. The razor was a cheap peace of crap which was shave ready and was only ever brought to practice honing with never really to shave

Nothing wrong with that - I keep a couple of junkers on hand just for honing practice. Good luck with your Norton!

Assuming that the steel is not so bad that all that chipping arose after the hone and shave, then you were never remotely close to a completed bevel set.
