    Please allow me to put the HAD issue to rest. Glen is HAD-free. However, he may suffer a bit of RAD. I think he said he has on the order of 80 to 100 razors in his shave den. Ten strops. The drawers of 20 each of Germany, England and USA vintage razors blew me away!

    Heck, Speedster just returned with my new razor from Glen and I am absolutly amazed by his attention to detail concerning the blade. Glen, your "How your Razor was Honed" paper just goes to show how much thought you put into working these razors and the options available to you in restoring and honing them... I wish I was able to go with but alas. Cannot wait to get home tonight and try it out. I will now (hopefully) be able to tell the difference between my Norton 4/8 honing and your Henckels 1-3-8 to Thuringen Waterstone. Something tells me I might notice a small difference. By just a few microns if nothing else.

    You might want to re-think that;
    I hear that after you've been on an island for a while, Mermaids begin to visit you.

    Thanks, Glen. Hopefully, I managed to capture the highlights of our day with the arsenal. I learned a lot in such a short time and can't wait to hone some razors again. Meanwhile, I'm holding off on a finisher as we discussed. Still, I am finding it difficult not to buy one of the many finishers available over at SRD. I kept the order to the 1k and DMT. LOL

    5 more inches last night so that is just over 2 feet since last Friday The 4 wheelers are a kick in the snow, but driving the tractor backwards for a 3 hour run to clear the road every morning is getting pretty darn old just like me

    The older I get, the more impatient I am with winter weather. I'm so ready for spring and especially our trip to Yakima...bring it on!

    Late to the game, but whew nice arsenal of hones. when there's no room for the beers on the table, use the beer helmets with the tube. LOL.

    I'm glad you guys are getting the snow instead of NY for a change two-feet can fall within a few hours here with lake effect. snowmobilers and skiers are hating it this year, but its nice not having to plow or shovel for a change. LOL.
