Ill try to take a pic in a bit and show my set up.
Thank you. I've been debating it for most of the last year. Being under 21 I cant concealed carry and this would be my alternative. But Im not a fan of a lot of the modern fighting knives.

They use 1095 steel which is heat treated to be very resilient and easy to sharpen.
+10!! ESEE makes hard use knives and you can't beat that warranty. They stand behind their product. Their knives have served me without fail in the field and they came razor sharp!

combat knife doesn't mean the thing is meant for killing a person or even causing bodily harm , it's more of a designation of how tough a knife is for example can you dig with it and not destroy the edge how about using it for a pry tool and not break the tip ?

If you look at most knifes such as Chris reeve makes they would have the ability to be a good tacticool killing type of tool but you wouldn't want to put it through too much stress .

I say this but it's just from what i have read not from any experience with the military , but i do guess not many people are killed in military action using a knife . Life isn't a Hollywood movie.

I'm a big fan of full tang knives for tasks outdoors but I haven't got a combat knife. If I was to get one I'd go for a sissipuukko! They look great in my opinion...

Damn right-If A fight requires a knife,Id rather be packing a gun-I love America. Knives have thier place but as a primary wepon Id rather have heat,or no confrontation at all.....BUT....

I couldnt agree more. Seeing how I may be working at a pub in a little bit sketchy part of town I'd rather have something said from my little buck folder. BTW I love the dog, always wanted one.

I carry a small folder when I can't concealed carry (work, etc) but for doing stuff in the yard or taking out to scout and trim shooting lanes for deer season, general rough use type stuff, a Mora knife is hard to beat. Even if it does get banged up/broken, etc it's under $20 to replace. I've used mine to split small wood (banged a rock on the spine), trim branches, dig out a shrub that I wanted out of my way, processed a squirrel, all that jazz w/o a problem. A small hone with a CC sized DMT or even just my small diamond stone I use for my ski edges and it's back up and running.

Thanks-I used to collect rent in a less than stellar part of NYC,I carried two guns and a boot knife, and they all had there place, but believe it or not the dog with me carrying a muzzle in one hand
and a quick release leash in the other kept things civil better than anything I ever used. A hundred pound Dobie keeps the conversation very pleasant, even when the subject is not,She earned her keep, that's for sure. And buy the way ,their great dogs around the family also,Ive owned one all my 56 years on this earth and never had a problem and would never be without one,but there not for beginners.
