Now back to knives...Maybe we should start a dog lovers thread or something too....I agree lets get back to the original subject last thing about pedigree dogs- they were bred for a purpose and unless you know what it is you wont be happy and neither will your dog,and some can be Dangerous animals and one wrong bite can cost you everything, please keep that in mind, and now to something sharp and shiny

Yes back onto the knife topic. Does anyone have suggestions for a small fixed blade knife that would be good for boot/ankle carry. I'm looking at the Ka Bar TDI ankle and the short Ka Bart plain edge I really would like the USMC EK but cant justify spending over $100 right now on a knife.

Look at the Becker bk 11
Small 3ish inch blade but plenty sharp and great for edc.
There are a few pics of them in this thread already.Shaving_story on Instagram

I like anyone have experience the the stainless steel version. Seems like it would be a good idea if it was being staples in or onto a boot, clipped into the waistband, and hung from neck.
P.S. I ooked back and seen you own one. I'm seriously debating it. I think it would be a good size and open up small of the back carry too. Maybe wrapping the grip in para cord for a little extra grip.
P.S.S. I've decided it's either going to be the BK11 or the BK14 EsKaBar. Probably the BK 14 if the belt clip fits.Last edited by Devilpup; 06-17-2011 at 04:24 AM.

Thanked: 235As a teacher I can see absolutely no need to carry a tomahawk. But I almost wish I did have a need. They look awesome.

Thanked: 983As promised, here's a pic of my two Tomahawks. Both are hand forged by Blacksmiths, the one on the left is a hammer hawk and the one on the right with the spike is a hawk made from a hammer. It's my favourite. Not designed for wood chopping though .
