This is my typical workday fare. I usually don't want breakfast til 9 AM, so I make a pile on Sunday and eat it all week. This week is some yeast rolls from a local fried chicken joint which I stuff with bacon slice, eggs and cheese along with a good ol banana and some veggie juice! Helps a lot if I have a late lunch!

Thanked: 1160A story to tell ........
So.........this here Hobbit is preparing the before grocery shopping meal in order to thwart the pre hungries that such excursions can cause. We're makin a Bacon, tomato, onion sammie on wheat pita with cream cheese. Delicious brekkie grubbins indeed. all of a sudden there is a knock on the door. We all know what happens when a Hobbit answers the knock at the door......Damn ! Dwarves again ?! Nope....it's a package layin at the foot of my door. So I open it and low and behold. A wonderful belated Birfsday pressie from me Aussie Brudder from deown undah ! (Hey,...you try and spell in accent and see how easy it is ). But whats this ? a Post card with beautiful unclad Aussie girls on it (not the bush kind with the 38 longs either) some wonderful Oz Tea...and two lovely tubes of Vegemite. For anyone who cares to know.....this package was a long time comin due to the incompetence of the mail , so it had quite the adventure getting here. Well, lemme tell ya...that sammie started screamin for that Vegemite,..... so I obliged (not before a nice little finger sample first...and then two more) First time for Vegemite for this Marmite addict. Verdict ? Loved it ! Not quite as salty as the Marm so as Mick put it once....you kin eat it right off the spoon like a lollipop....(I almost done did). It really was delicious !! And the tea I am currently sippin as I write this tale....Beautiful Mick.....just like Mums home kitchen ! Proper !! So the tale has a very happy ending, with a full belly and contented soul. Now I also got some recipes along with this and an awesome card with lots of friendly words and runes written on it. Also..... the address to Rachel Hunters house with an invitation to sleep over and apologies that she has no guest couch so I'll have to make do with.....Okay ,maybe I fudged a bit on that last part heh. Thanks Cobber!! The Aussie heart is one of Gold with a shmear of Vegemite and I greatly appreciate it. Here's some pics of the whole lot !! P.S Damn that sammie was good too...perfect timing, the post office has redeemed itself !!

Thanked: 983Good to see vegemite applied with due diligence. Also goes well with buttered toast with a slice (or two) of melted cheese and a fried egg to top it all off. Glad it finally arrived mate. You should have seen it when it got back to me! I needed to give it a new wrapper before re-sending. Held together with more tape than anything else!
