This is all you need to make a simple nice afternoon frappuccino. I also added 3 tablespoons of sugar.

    I agree...

For now, I have been using the recipe book that came with my Vitamix. So far, my favorite smoothie is: 4 cups cubed watermelon, 2 cups strawberries, 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 2 cups of ice. Its my favorite summertime drink and low in calories.

Honestly. I just go by feel. It's not rocket science. You eventually learn the ratios needed to blend to the consistency you need. I'll only use tbs or tsp for my protein powder and other superfood add-ons but rarely have used the cup measurement for the foods themselves.

    Default Cranny-licious

    One of my favorite.

    2 cups of cranberry juice
    1/2 frozen banana
    1 cup frozen raspberries
    1 navel orange (peeled)
    1 scoop protein powder (29gr)
    1 tablespoon maca root

Blend on high for about a minute.

    Close to 3 full glasses.

Maca root has a nutty taste. Not overpowering. You'll like it. It gives a nice energy throughout the day.
However the protein brings some consistency and thickness in your mix. If you don't use any then use less cranberry juice and full banana instead. By substituting the protein with soy milk you'll liquify your drink even more unless that's what you want.

I go much the same way, by feel. BTW maca root is a great superfood, search the web for health benefits. I love it.

I've never done the whole super-food thingy really.
But if Max says he uses it, then I'm game for a try.
So I went to iherb and ordered some Hemp seeds, Spirulina, Maca root and a big bag of Chia seeds.
Dang, I'm gonna be glowing in the dark soon
