With a thread like this I'll probably get me one soon too - they haven't come to the store for many months now.
Not that I can't spend $500 on another toy, but generally I like fruits, vegetables, nuts without having to puree them so I don't see it as a tool to bring me to a healthier diet
After all I can't imagine I'd ever want my waldorf salad in a shake form - the textures and the individuality of each taste component from the blend is what makes it perfect
At this point I see it as adding variety, but I may be wrong. Did any of you had good balanced diet before you got the vitamix - do you use it a good amount?

Yes, and yes.
I do quite a bit of training so I have always focused on a reasonably healthy diet.
With the blender used daily I seem to not only get more of the good stuff in me, but as importsntly, it has taken away some of the wessels of less desirable ingredients that followed along.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Same like Birnando. Been physically active my whole life and have always been blessed with a fast metabolism and a healthy, steady diet. If anything I'd lose a few pounds faster than I'd gain it. But for me the Vitamix has always been more of an addition to as opposed to changing my diet. I use mine anywhere from 3 to 5 times a day. First thing on an empty stomach would be wheatgrass and spirulina. I'll usually have a dairy smoothie mixed with fruit, extra protein, maca root and another superfood in the morning as breakfast. I'll have a power shake before and a protein shake after hitting the gym. Lastly at least one green smoothie during the day with mostly vegetables and apple juice. For me it's the most used appliance in my kitchen together with my rice cooker which is used daily.

Awesome Lynn!. Great seeing you make use of your vitamix in a positive way. The spinach in the blender is great stuff as are the carrots. I decided to stop using kale. I do not posses the DNA to silently digest this. Even my dog takes cover when I had kale. But that's about it.
