That's a lovely flour. Don't you have to order it in 50# bags? I mostly use T-65 from France for white flour, which is also about as "white" as you can get.

Figure saving the cost of the bleach should be less, but I hear ya. And wait till next season, wheat products are gonna be climbing!.
Tried my first go at an authentic Challah after seeing one a few pages back.
The braiding is an art of its own which I will need to practice more to get proficient but it turned out well enough to eat, and was delicious!

And the crumb shot, so very buttery and soft compared to aa sourdough and done in a day start to end, that’s convenient.

yep 50lb bags. I order this as well as KA all purpose and Italian Pizza Flour and KA high gluten and sugar all in 50lb sacks. I do a lot of baking and cooking and go through the all purpose stuff in 3 months or so.

Braiding a challah with 3 braids is easy. Try 7. You have to put the last three on top of the bottom 4.

I think my scale is acting up and there is too much oil in the dough but might as well cook it off.

Looks and smells ok, but didn’t rise like the yeast version did, and that was done in a day. Will wait for the taste test..
    Cheers.

6 braid is, to me the nicest balance between speed, and presentation.
Key always being equal weights per braid.
