    Lee,

I was in a Super Stop and Shop yesterday. They had three different brands of Sriracha! I thought it was only the stuff with the chicken on the bottle but there were two other brands. Did you know this?

Even if you don't dig the fruit, pepper plkants are so pretty they brighten up any gardne or even a room if grown indoors.

and tried some the other day: 1 drop of this sauce on a tortilla chip. It is VERY VERY hot. Surprisingly flavorful, though. It started off warm and smoky, with a delightful tingly warmth. It then proceeded to get hotter and hotter and hotter. Quite an experience.

    I also picked up this:

and have really enjoyed it. They are all very good, with complex flavors, my favorite is the After Death sauce, it has a great taste and is very yummy when put in a Prairie Fire. (tequila+hot sauce in a shot)
I LOVE Blair's. Death sauce is my favorite--the Afterdeath I find masks too many flavors to use as a food additive--the end hotness makes me miss the flavor of food by the end of a meal.

    Mmm....death sauce....

Most hot sauces, Tabasco included, I just don't like. I don't care many hot sauces mainly because the strong vinegar taste distracts from the spiciness rather than compliment it. Most of them try so hard to make it spicy, they sometimes forget you want to eat it on food.

Here's one I like, it's more of a pepper sauce/paste. You taste the heat and nothing else.

Habanero Hot Sauces Gift Pack - El Yucateco 4 units

I mainly bought it because I saw they had a website on the bottle when I was using it at a local mexican restaurant.

I haven't tried the Extra hot. The green pepper is my favorite, followed by the red. The Caribbean is good on burgers.

The green Yucateco is about the best hot sauce ever. I saw this thread revived and I was just going to get the bottle out of the cupboard to make sure of the spelling, and here you scooped me.

It's hot without being overpowering, but it also has a really good flavor behind the heat.

The brown el yucateco "mayan recipe" (apparently not the "original mayan recipe" which is vinegar based) is a great sauce. It is tomato & habanero with a nice sweet onion flavor. As I type with greasy fingers, I confirm this sauce is great on fries and BLT sandwiches.

It reminds me of belizean heat but hotter, a little tangier, and not as fruity

    Thanks so much brad!
