Nothing particularly new here, but I have been experimenting with new mixes. Really enjoying dry Manhattans, or a shot of bourbon in a glass of stout. Whipped up some Old Fashioneds, as well, but I think I prefer the Manhattan.

Just discovered Glenlivet "Nadurra" and I think it's my new favorite! Twice the price of regular 12 year old, but so smooth and delicious!

Scotch (the peatier the better) when there is money, and various whiskeys or dark rums when im cutting back the liquor budget.

Since my last post here my tastes have changed. When I do drink it's hard cider followed by more hard cider. Some times a shot of good German Apfel Schnapps or a good chilled chilled shot of Vodka....Polish is best but I'm open.

Default Drink of the Day (Other then scotch/whisky/beer)

So I did a search and couldn't find a drink of the day thread. So I'm starting one! I've always been kind of a Rum drinker, both on the rocks and in cocktails. I'm also the kinda man that loves a good white russian, vodka martini(Shaken not stirred) a good solid Manhattan, ect, ect, ect! So this is a thread for any drinks that don't fall into the beer, scotch, or whiskey categories!

Normally I don't drink the captain on ice due to it being considered a "lower" quality rum ment for mixed drinks but I loved the taste of the black so much when I ran out of coke I said screw it and poured one on ice. It tasted great but I was also half a bottle in ha ha. So today after a few hours of yard work I decided to try a sniff on ice sober and I still loved it! If you have this and have never drank it on the rocks or neat with a small splash of water I do recommend!!

Now what are the rest of you none peat and hop heads drinking today?

Stag's breath liqueur is worth trying if you come across it. It's made with scotch whisky and fermented honey. I got a bottle for christmas. I'd advise a good measure of self restraint with it, it goes down very quick if you're not careful.
