Let's just say the beer selection for the week has been "Epic". Visited this brewery while on vacation in Utah, pretty small place, wonderful and very helpful staff, and a great selection of 22oz bombers. I picked mostly stouts and porters as that is what I favor but the Smoked and Oaked Belgian was one I just had to try.....and oddly I did not get a picture of it poured. Beautiful amber/hazy copper color, very malty and sweet, super smooth for 10.6%, and a subtle scotch/bourbon like quality to it. Interesting brew. The Belgian and the Imperial Stout were the 2 stand outs to me though they were all good. Wish I could get then here, maybe with the brewery opening in Colorado that will be possible.Name: Epic Smoked & Oaked Belgian..jpg

I gave this a try, Brother Thelonious. I have to say, I didn't like it. I'll try it again, it could have been just a "not the right mood" for it, but I really didn't like the taste.

My Beer for today after a nice day in the garden of my parents with the whole Family.
Desperados is some kind of Mixed Beer made of soft Lager Beer (probably Heineken, as it is brewed by Heineken) flavoured with Lime and Tequila Flavors, very nice if it ice cold, its a typical beach beer (although it has 5,9%Vol.).

Paulaner is definitely sold in the US. It is actually very available. Salvator is one of my favorites. Some people may not know what you mean by the wrong glass. No one in the US has a special glass for each brand and type of beer. I was in Germany recently and every beer I ordered came in a glass with the brand and type of beer label on the glass. And it was always poured to the line. In the US, you're lucky to even get a glass. Usually they just give you the bottle and you have specifically ask for a glass.

Drinking "Special Export" as i'm typing. My favorite beer for over 35 years. Some call it "green death" because of the taste (it's not what some would call a light piss water beer) and higher than normal alcohol content. Some of my friends from Canada have said it the only commercial American beer that tastes real. 30 pack costs me less than 18.00

    Today are the Cologne Lights,
a big festival ending with gigantic fireworks, so i decided to drink a cologne delicacy a Kölsch Beer,
my favourite Kölsch is the Gaffel Kölsch (Gaffel is the old cologne word for fork, remembering of the
medieval cologne councilmen that were nearly the only one that could afford forks for meal,
most residents of medieval cologne only had wooden spoons).
