I've been enjoying a half a glass of Guinness Stout topped up with Harp Lager. I think in Dublin they call it a "Half & Half."
    Yum!

Never had it mixed with lager but I know Guinness and Bass is called a Black and Tan.
Guinness brought out their take on a black lager a few years ago which was quite good, the flavour of stout with the lightness of lager. Not sure if they still make it, wasn't a big seller.

That looks like a brilliant selection. I love a chocolate stout and a milk stout but never had anything that would describe itself as a chocolate milk stout, sounds interesting.
I love this time of year when all the winter ales come out.
What is the barley wine like? Never experienced it myself

Tonight, I and a few friends will be tapping a sixtel of "No-Pay Porter, Senate Version", named in honor of the financial geniuses who discovered that I will work with no promise of a paycheck. It is a home-brewed porter (bordering on a stout) that, although had yeast problems at birth, has developed into an incredibly smooth glass of black platinum.

A long time favorite of mine.
Lots of memories from trips to Prague pops up in my head whenever I enjoy this brand

Today is "outside cooking" day, and the number one essential item for outside cooking is beer. Today is a Sweetwater Brewing Company Tacklebox, a 12 pack of assorted brews including LowRyeder IPA, Sweetwater IPA, 420 pale ale and Motorboat Ale. All that while smoking a bacon wrapped sausage fatty and cooking cracklin's.

I have only ever had Bud Lite before.. and it was quite watery, + the carbonation taste was to strong.. (almost like drinking beer flavored tonic)
Thinking about trying a dark beer, so a friend recommended Guiness.
Is it better stuff? or what should i try first

I love Guinness but it can be an acquired taste for some people.
When I've tried to get my friends to drink real ale I found that the best beer to break them in was "old speckled hen". Not sure if you can get it easily in America but I'm sure you can source it online
