I love the way they pre-heat the cups, etc. That tea didn't seem to be brewed long, I'm going for five minutes generally these days, I tried three but it's not long enough for fruit 'teas', I've found, and I like mixing. How would you store that tea cake thing? Does it need to be in an air tight jar or something? I have the distinct feeling I'm going to end up with a LOT of teas very soon. Thanks for sharing this, it's great!

'Black Jasmine', semi fermented with jasmine flowers, one lump. Perfect. I noted that in Bela's video the lady filled the tea pot all the way up, I did that too. I've been filling to the neck of the spout. I brewed for five minutes, spun the tea pot three time clockwise after filling with water.

I like this tea thing :-)

Eating VEGEMITE! An Americans First Taste! Day 303 - YouTube

I could never understand the fear that most Americans have regarding Vegemite. I bought some, opened the jar on the ride home, decided to dip my finger in and give it a taste. It took fifteen minutes to get home. The whole trip, I was looking for a cat. I needed to lick one's butt to get that taste out of my mouth. Tried it again later, on toast with butter, it's not too bad. Straight from the jar, no thanks... I'm sure I eat some things that wouldn't go well with others, but I guess you kinda have to grow up with it.

Later gang, I'm still waiting patiently for my tea set I sent off for, seems like forever, about how long does it take to receive things from China???
Ya big girl! I've often grabbed a teaspoon full straight from the jar. Better than a lolly pop! When it comes to vegemite, and if your cholesterol levels can handle it. Toast a slice of bread and lightly butter it. Lay on a bit of the food of the gods (Vegemite) then slap a dab of butter where ya reckon you'll take a bite. Heaven mate, total heaven. I gotta not do that though, 'cause I'm not the thinnest of people at all. Good reason to lose weight though I reckon.

Now. Tea question. Iced tea. When you blokes make iced tea, do you try and store any in the fridge for any length of time? I'm finding my iced tea is going cloudy and taking on a slightly bitter taste. I may just need to experiment with shorter brew times for longer (fridge) storage, but I know the same tea tastes just fine hot. Got me a bit kerfuddled really.

    Carl,
not, you can safely stored the tea cake without in air-tight seal. ...on the shelf.

When I make Iced tea,I add more water. i.e. make a pot like normal, let cool a bit, pour into pitcher with more cold water and chill.Plus adding sugar helps.American sweet tea is pretty sweet ,but just make it to your liking. Hope that helps. You may wanna try brewing for less time though Mick. I only go fer bout 2 min.

Angry Stop the whining already !!!

Right then............after watching the Vegemite video I must say this. First off for the sake of arguments and pride and all... I know even without having tasted Vegemite that it aint that far off the path of Marmite.Straillies say what ya like but yeast extract is what it is. I know I would like it just the same...so...after watching said Vid and listening to this whiney modern brat cry about how scared he was to try...what ??.....something salty. Maybe it's just the fact that I have eaten tons of Marmite toast(this kid couldn't even hardly put butter on his) ....I mean seriously....man up..butter the toast which means put some bloody butter on the bloody toast, put some Vegemite on the sucker and eat it or don't. You'de think the way he was acting that he was eating a live eel or something. Guess I'm a dinosaur...why live? Man....I need to get to the store and buy me some mite any kinda mite...I'm gettin the cravings for tea and mite.....dang !!!!! I love tea and Marmite toast mmm nom nom !

No advice, but I had the same thing happen to me when I made iced tea, so I ended up not making it anymore … Might have to experiment with what other people suggest now!
