Today was Christmas for me!! I placed some orders at three different places, two of them in December; and they all showed up today! A scuttle, some Esoterica Pembroke and some tea from China!!

I got into the High Mountain Milk Oolong first. I need to dial it in, insofar as brewing. The little balls expand more than I thought they would!! Awesome fragrance, light delicate flavor. I still prefer the stronger, manlyer pu erh, but this is a very pleasant change of pace.

You know I'd never heard of the word 'Steampunk' until a few months back when I was researching leather hat making. I then found out it was a whole style and not just a way of making soup. I don't know whether I should admit it or not, but I think I actually like the combination of the old, new and fantasy that is Steampunk.
I love that cup as well. I think I must be demented or something.

I want one too ! Should I let steph know when my birthday is ? :<0) Seriously though, some steam punk items are just irresistible. Ever search it out on e-Bay ? I found this and thought it would be cool under a teapot as a warmer.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

That mug is awesome! I'm gonna have a look around that site to see what other contraptions people have. After all, one can never have too many teapots...all I need now is a blowtorch...

That's easy n'uff. You take something that catches yer fancy. Stain it with, coffee, tea or what ever to make it look patina'd. Slap some springs and old guages on it,wrap it in leather.stamp on a few rivets....Viola !! it's Steampunk . neon is cool too.We had a bar here in Denver(don't know if it's still around) that had this Jules Verne looking beverage tank right in the middle of the bar. There was a glass tube attached to it the was as tall as the cieling pret'near. it looked like one of those water level tubes you might see on a boiler. The liquid in the contraption was red and it was the house drink if you will. Really cool to look at it were. here it is

Short story to this. I really don't drink much anymore, but the one time I went to this place, musta been maybe 6 years ago I was dressed as a machete wielding redneck zombie for Denvers very first Zombie crawl . Kinda cool. This place had axe handles for stair railings,Old looking fake Tim Burton trees with lightning bug lights, the whole place looked like something outta Beetlejuice. .
