I thought I was the only American that made espresso in a coffee pot. I have been hooked on it since Germany. Have an espresso maker so I can do single shots during the day on weekends. I carry a thermos to work with my Espresso. While in Turkey I was cured of Tea and Lamb,

    Some photos for you:

2013 Kagoshima shincha Kirishima No Kaori

An asamushi (light-steamed) sencha, with a very rich flavour, delicately sweet if steeped at the right temperature and not unpleasantly bitter if brewed a little to hot. A firm favourite.

[DEFINITELY CAN'T UPLOAD THE PHOTOS AT THE MOMENT, SO YOU'LL ALL JUST HAVE TO IMAGINE THEM]

Photos are taken of first steep. Colour doesn't change much anyway. Leaves open up more.

Fair enough. All I have to say is toughen up princess. (sorry I have to practice the vernacular now that I am almost Aussie, if the context is incorrect please feel free to critique)

Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

Here's an old picture of the same tea (except not shincha), already uploaded from about this time last year.

I recieved a pretty substantial shipping of Da Hong Pao Yancha yesterday, so today I'm enjoying sampling it for the first time. The description reads "sweet chocolate taste, floral aroma with a hint of smoke". I recon that's highly accurate, it really has a distinct hint of chocolate. Not as high grade as I've got before, but still a very nice oolong. It'll keep me happy this winter.

Whoopin' big bag of tea that!

How come your photo uploaded just fine??

And how big is that bag of tea (as in weight)?

EDIT: comparing your photo to mine...I'd say that looks like about 200g?

It is 500 grams, the bag measures some 25 x 15 x 12 cm or so. It feels gigantic
