Thanked: 36I tried Jack Daniels single cask last night at a friends place. Interesting stuff and better than the standard. Mostly smelled of PVA glue and emulsion paint until I added the water and then it had some notes of vanilla and herbs. I'm still not convinced by Jack Daniels in general and will probably never buy it, but it was still interesting to try one of their better efforts.

Evan Williams tonight. Might be too plain for some folks but it is a good, smooth drink.

Went over to a co-workers last night, and good lord what collection; Bowmore, Glen Ellen, more Glenfarclas than you could shake a stick at, I think that there was probably a quarter of my years salary in that collection.
Tried a 33yr old Banff. Sublime.
And a 25yr old Laphroig. Interesting, very medicinal.Jon
