Been quickly working through Black Grouse. Quite easy drinking, nice flavors, nothing special. Not bad considering the price ($23). Basically a peat smoke infused Famous Grouse. A touch of water really brings the flavors together and I am usually not one to add water to anything under 100 proof.

Possibly not worth the extra few bucks over Famous Grouse, which itself is not a favorite of mine.

I'm reading through this thread, sipping a beer and wishing I had bought a bottle of 2 Gingers instead of this beer!

My new favorite scotch is Glenlivet Nadurra. A bit pricey at almost 70 for the 750ml, but far and away the nicest I've had at even twice the price. Cask strength and pale wheat color and a taste that assures a bottle won't last long on my bar. Needs nothing but a drop or two of water.

    Whisky, surely?

I have a bottle of Highland Park 12 open at the moment, which I'm enjoying and seems like a very nice all-rounder.
