Glenmorangie 18 years old, but even this very nice scotch can't beat my sweet Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban.

My most recent whisky outing was to Baranow's Lounge in Melbourne. Had a couple drams with my wife, Caol Ila 2001 and Benromach Sassicaia Wood Finish. Both were delicious but I personally preferred the Caol Ila.

Quite disappointed now. This was possibly the most interesting whisky I've ever tasted with so many distinctive aromas and flavours developing once a wee drop of water is added. Truly a magnificent dram. I tried it at a friend's place on a recent trip to England and was really impressed. I's cask strength and at 60.3% alcohol it's illegal to bring it into Norway where I live. So sad. I'm about to drown my sorrows with a drop of 12 year old caol isla. Well, maybe not drown them, I have work in the morning, but I'll at least get their feet wet.

Tried Ardbeg Uigeadail? That's some pretty good stuff. I almost bought the Corryvreckan but went for Uigeadail on a friend's recommendation.

Had a nice spot of Johnny Walker Blue Label last night with the Mrs and some friends. Nothing better than sharing with good company

Powers John's Lane Release - great hints of oak with a peppered and honey after note.

    Delicious!
