Sounds like a pretty good deal to me, but i guess it depends what kind of insect it was.

My goto for about 4 yrs has been RedBreast Irish. Haven't found another to beat it in the price class (~$50/750 ml). If you drink Irish, and haven't tried it, do yourself a favor and find a bar that sells it, or head to your local liquor store. A good number of them stock it.

Thanks for reminding me of this once a year whiskey, the best! Just in time for the 17th. I don't dwell in the single malt world but when I'm feeling peppy I snatch a bottle of 12 year Dewars.

Hey Everyone, guess I'll make my first post in the forum in the most appropriate thread I could find, the scotch thread I've been drinking Aberlour for years. It's so smooth and definitely my go to scotch when I want to introduce someone new to scotch whiskey. Here's a pic of my scotch collection.

Arniem, welcome to the forums, you've made quite an entrance with that picture! You've got some good stuff there, Abunagh is awesome but unfortunately it's illegal here in Norway because it's just a little too strong. I'm sure that law is designed for moonshiners, not appreciators of fine whisky. How's the Glenfiddich 21?

I'm very pleased with my bunnahabhain 12 y/o - in some ways it's similar to a talisker 10 but less peppery.

I get a lot of apple and raisin and sherry, building to seaweed and salt spray, and a not overly impressive finish that's pleasantly smokey and lightly peated.
