It looks like these are mostly barbecuings at home, but I just got back from a weekend in Austin, TX. I forced the wife to take a side trip to Lockhart to try out blacks, kreuz's, and smitty's... all great things.

Fathers day here, got a new smokey joe from my favorite daughter of the moment. Perfect size for the wife and I. Did drumsticks and bacon for breakfast, then forgot to take photo of the meal. Fed four no problem. The old kettle just won't give up, but we rarely use it unless there is a bunch of family and friends. Spring time, so will be getting a lot of use.

I should get one of those. Most times it's just the wife and I.

Wid, well worth it. Did a half dozen lamb chops on it last night, probably used less than half the charcoal of the big weber. Was delicious.

Cilantro Lime chicken breast smoked in hickory. We'll couple that with some fresh white peas from the garden. Should be an excellent supper!

Anybody barbeque or smoke meat as part of their Thanksgiving? I'm getting ready or start the smoker in preparation for turkey breasts.

I did a turkey on my smoker a few years back when my in-laws were up, delicious but took forever. Most of the time I deep fry them...

Here's our Thanksgiving turkey, prepared in a Traeger Grill: 21lb bird, rubbed with olive oil,
paprika, and a little sage; then smoked for 2 hours, and cooked at 325deg for 3 hours more.

    Delicious!
