Arko is good soap and is cheap. You can get it on-line with free shipping for under $3.00. Aqua Velva is hard to beat and is cheap. So is Clubman. Store brand Wtch Hazel is also cheap. A Parker 99R razor, soap puck (Arko, Williams, VDH) Merkur, Feather, or BIC blade, a VDH Boar brush, and some Aqua Velva are really all you need.

One of the best post shave products is Proraso Pre. After leaving it on for a minute I rinse off and face feels great. For some reason Nivea balm irritates my skin.

For the shave as such Nivea creams works very well,
If you like sticks, Arko is good value too, but not sure about Walmart availability.

After the shave it doesn't even have to be Nivea after shave balm.
After years of fancy creams and lotions I have come to use ordinary Nivea cream (in the dark blue tub, tin or tube) more than anything else.
It's cheap, easily available and most of all it works...

Easy on the face and easy on the budget.
