Unfortunately all my twins are out being honned
I'll have to post a pic as soon ad I get them back
As of right now tho I have a henckels friodur 5/8 in black and white scales. The black scaled one is a new production one and not as good as my nos white scaled one.
I also have a platinum 401 in ironwood scales that I love.
Been trying to win an auction of one of the friodur 7/8 or 8/8 ones on eBay with the fancy spine etching

Hi all,
Here my addition to the "Twin Team".
J.A. Henckels Zwillingswerk AG, Solingen Germany.
Etched into the "stem" of the blade it states 72 1/2: what does this number mean (does it refer to Rockwell hardness of the metal or something?).
It makes a nice sound when shaving.
Kindest regards, Jazor.

Friodur Ebay: did I just buy a copy??
Hi Twin Team experts,
Please have look at attached picture of a Friodur I just purchased over Ebay.
It's on it's way to me now via couier.
After buying it I am getting the distinct feeling it might not be a real one?
Reason for this question is that I spotted that the "cut" of the razor blade towards the "stem" is totally different of the one I have or from the ones I have seen so far.
Perhaps it is because of a much earlier production date, perhaps Friodurs sometimes came like this.
Just a kind request to you experts to either put my mind at ease or to confirm my fears.
Another question: what in your opinions is the "size" of the blade?
The auction stated it to be "Friodur INOX Germany NO STAIN 50 1/2" and I don't know what 50 1/2 means.
It can be a 4/8 or a 5/8 and the seller didn't know the answer: information welcome.
Looking forward to your feedbacks.
Kindest regards, Jazor.

Friodur: latest arrivals
Hi all,
Here the latest arrivals to my rotation: two NOS 50 1/2 Friodurs.
After scrutiny they stand up to the NOS status as well as to the genuinity I initially feared for.
Can't wait to try them out!
Kindest regards, Jazor.
