Another one for the collection, seems quite old, has natural scales and of course shoulder less

Ive lusted after this model for a good few years but was put off by the fleabay prices so was chuffed to bits when this one came up at a respectable price. I must say the razor is spectacularly made, the laser spine etching is beautiful and the grinding is simply perfect.
I got her today and honed her up very easily, the resulting shave was sublime

Opinions wanted on J.A. Henckels #415 5/8" Straight Razor
    Hello all,
First off Merry Christmas to everyone, I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season!!
I hope this is the correct place ro post, I posted in general razor thread then saw the dancing twins and thought this thread would be a great place for opinions as well. If not I'm sorry and will delete the post if not appropriate.
I was looking at the following razor to purchase and would like some input on it, it's "value" or what would be a fair price for it.
I am looking at a: J.A. Henckels #415 - 5/8 Straight Razor Twin Works Solingen Germany.
I recently downloaded the SRP database; (which is incredible, thanks to Paul and all who contributed), but I was unable to find info on the #415.
Thank you for your opinion and input!!

First and Foremost--evaluations and pricing are against the rules here at SRP.

With that said, the razor is worth whatever you feel it is. My great grandfather's W&B is priceless to me but to you it might be worth $100.

Look around at FleaBay and see what similar razors are going for.

You may find some info here STRAZORS.com - all about classic razors - Zwilling J.A. Henckels AG, Solingen. . It may help you date the razor.

JA Henckels has an excellent reputation as, among other things, a straight razor maker. Of the German brands Henckels and Boker are probably the most recognized in North America and so quite popular. I doubt you could go far wrong with a vintage razor in good condition from Henckels.

Just received this Friodur 72-V 6/8 near wedge from Japan. Believe Solingen wedges were mainly made for export outside Germany (especially from 20th century onwards) - this will join my mini collection of German wedges, smooth and gentle shavers often overshadowed by their hollow Solingen siblings.

On my recent Tokyo shop spree I stumbled upon this NOS, pristine and full 8/8 #14:

Just couldn't have left it there
Judging from the logo style - it's from before '69, or am I mistaken?
