Had some more of these fine Henckels razors lying in a drawer, most of these are salvaged blades and had some work done or need work done (scaled, honed, getting a chip out, etc. etc.) ergo they might not be as aesthetically pleasing

Looks like I'm more into the shoulderless ones and smaller blades in general, the number 14 one is a 7/8 or 8/8, most of them are smaller-ish though
I don't really shave with bigger blades anymore, I actually prefer probably around a 4/8 shoulderless blades


note one of them is so small, I once had to remove the stabilizers, etc. poor fella looks butchered, but remains my favorite shaver, probably because I've put some work in it

Does the Hoppe 14 say Henckels on the back?
They are kind of a funny one with a ton of mystery. Hoppe manufactured both under his own name and in partnership with Henckels. I have both Hoppe alone and with Henckels on 14 razors.

The back of that blade is blank, not sure what to think of it, it also came in the razor box that also said, Guillermo Hoppe, Solingen with the Henckels Twin logo on both sides

Either way it is a nice score. They are very nice razors. In fact you managed to get quite a nice little pile of nice razors.

Does anyone know about a Henkel razor stamped with a 68 on it?

There are several eras of many of the different models of Henckels razor. Some change quite a bit with the different eras, others remain mostly the same. Pictures always help to narrow the possibilities.

Do any of you have a Henckels 45 blade?

I found a new one years ago when i got into straight shavin...i had no idea of value back then so i sold it

Never seen one since.

It's a Smiling Full hollow 7/8-8/8 blade with a thumbnotch and engraved spine.

Here are a few pictures, incase anyone knows any thing about it. Bought it because it looked clean and was progression honed to 15k. Heard they are good shavers. Assuming that it is not a Friodur blade and that it is carbon steel. Any idea on what a good range of prices is for something like this. Also if I am looking for a like stainless blade / Fiodur how much should I be looking to spend? Thanks!

I think Henckels made razor for longer than any other manufacture. As a result there are many many different model, and some model numbers have different renditions of the model number. If you look through the different old catalogue pages you can see how many models were produced. There are many models I have not seen pictures of outside the catalogue pages pictures. I would love to see more and have more, but for me they are so very hard to find, I am very limited in my hunting.
Both the Henckel carbon steel and the Henckels stainless aka Friodur are great shavers and you can sometimes pick them up for not a lot of money but the more popular models in mint or NOS condition seem to cost a bit of a premium, although not as much as some other brands of popular razors.

Ive lusted after this model for a good few years but was put off by the fleabay prices so was chuffed to bits when this one came up at a respectable price. I must say the razor is spectacularly made, the laser spine etching is beautiful and the grinding is simply perfect.
I got her today and honed her up very easily, the resulting shave was sublime
