    Hey guys,
I just purchased a Dubl Duck Goldedge from eBay and the scales were cracked. Anyone know where I can find an original set of scales for this razor (the blade is in AMAZING condition.) I plan to start on a custom set of scales for this, but would much prefer a set of originals.

Sorry Mods, if this is not an acceptable topic.

    Thanks,
    Phil

Try finding a trashed blade/good scales on EBay.

    I'm in!

I got really, really lucky with this one

Shipping her off to Mr. Glen Mercurio (gssixgun) to have the scales straightened out, and maybe cleaned up a tiny bit. What do you folks think? This is probably going to be my main razor - would the added extra beauty from a full work-up last, with appropriate care?

Shiny! But looks like a chip or something, on the inside edge of the blade?

I love the engine turning detail on post #157

I found this DD Goldedge last week at a flea market and it's my first DD and I have to say it is a amazing shaver. It looked almost new when I bought it. The only thing is that the gold has worn a little were the tang is rubbing the scales.

Since my earlier post seems to have a broken link, here again is my Bresduck Special rescaled by Oldblades in Yellowheart and Mahogany.

Here's one I re-scaled in ebony as the originals were pretty ordinary. I added a brass liner which doesn't show to best advantage in the pics.

This is my latest acquisition - it didn't need much more than a scale clean and blade polish.
