Thanked: 334Gentlemen of the Dubl Duck Flock --
I've always admired the craftsmanship of these blades, yet always seem to be outbid for one on the evilBay. In my search for a quality Dubl Duck, should I call myself a "duck hunter?" I seem to be more of an Elmer Fudd, though!
I really like these razor pics -- thanks, guys!

Guys,
The images of the ducks is really messing with my head and now I really want one (despite telling myself not to get another razor till end of year). What's the best way to get my hand on one of these Goldedge, especially one with gold/ blue intact on the tang. Ebay, WTB???
Mapleleafalumnus: Guess you're one of the many duck hunters that I'm competing with on evilBay huh?

Ebay is still the best bet although I believe (and keep this to yourself) that Jamie did a deal with another member in the UK - so if you post a WTB or trade you might just get lucky. Getting back to Ebay, my observation is that the Goldedges go for around the $200 mark - although not as good condition as Jamie's above. So, you know the kind of price you're looking at.

I plan on posting a couple of clean up pics with a better camera. I think I might be getting it close to shave ready.

Thanked: 58I just received, cleaned, and honed a Pearl King the other day and found it shaves just like my goldenedge. I'm starting to think that the guys on the following thread were right when they mentioned these types were probably from the same manufacturer, then marketed for different companies. If that's the case, I may just sell my DD while they're so popular. My Pearl King looks identical to this one: http://straightrazorpalace.com/show-...ollection.html
