Also, still wondering what a Napoleon looks like. I assume that no one has a photo? How do you know it exists? Old sales literature? If no photo, what does it look like? Don't worry justacat & BigSpendur (or anyone else who will be in the bidding war when the Napoleon finally shows it's face), I won't be bidding on one, just really curious.

Also, a question for the DD experts ... I have a "Gold Ring" straight, and if it weren't for the Gold Ring brass inlay script in the cracked ice scales, the scales would look just like a DD. Anyone got info on the Gold Ring brand, and if it were one of the DD stable in their distribution channel, maybe?
There are a bunch of other companies that use cracked ice scales, so it does not mean that there is any relation between them. Off the top of my head, Hess uses cracked ice a lot, and the Genco Easy Aces comes in cracked ice. I know there are lots of others that do too, just none that I can think of off the top of my head.

Here's my entry into the Daffy Ducks. Finally found one out in the wild. Not honed yet but will be domesticated very shortly.
