Oh, I'd missed the writing on the front scale. Unusual indeed...

yes its rescaled. The pearl design scales kind of went with the pearlduck name so all the higher quality models have those scales. Someone may have lifted the logo and moved or redid it by hand. I think the special #1 was the only one in the Pearlduck Series without the cracked ice but there may be a couple others.

Didn't the SatinEdge and SatinWedge tend to come in those clear... I don't know what they're made of scales? Or are those not in the Pearlduck Series? Perhaps a better question is which are in the Pearlduck series?

The Satinedge was a clear scale with the brass fancy named thingy on the end. I don't know for sure on the Satinwedge.... still need a good one. If it is stamped Pearlduck on the reverse tang I think it is towards the end of the true dd line. I beleive that the Bresnick was the earliest , then came the Bresduck and finally the Pearlduck. All the same family importing the items. I may be wrong, I was wrong once before.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

So mine might after all be with original scales. Is there a way for me to check this for sure once I get it from the mail?
    Thx

I understand that no one has yet acquired or displayed a Napoleon, but I was wondering if anyone has a file photo that they could share.

I am interested in finding out if the one I have (with "Napoleon" engraving) is the rare one you are seeking. And, Bigspendur, I have dead-bolted doors, electric fencing around my house and automatic weapons, so stay away!

By the way, just kidding about owning one ... just trying to ruffle Bigspendur's feathers ... but SERIOUSLY, would really like to see a pic.
