My single frameback... for now. It's an 1870's C.V. Heljestrand. It's not a 'looker', it's a user.

Thanked: 18Jernbolaget.
Hello to all.
Really pleased with this Jernbolaget frameback. Very nice shaver.
I noticed that the blade is the same with the tang and has a separate back.
In others frameback I own, the blade is independent and it is secured on the tang and back.

Here's my entry ticket... they need a polish and a hone though
It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice

G. Perray Frameback
This is my first frameback and I'm loving it! I picked it up from another SRP razor buff this past week. Goooood stuff! Have any of you ever heard of the maker, G. Perray Vittel?

I didn't see the frameback club before! I have several. Here are a few Wostenholms and a Torrey!

The mark "Fleur d'acier" was ownership of Duvert frères of Thiers. Probably Perray was a retailer of the village of Vittel (Lorena).
This happens when a cutler or dealer is offered a number of razors by a traveller/agent for a noted maker with the dealers own name stamped on the blade (a common practice especially in France).Last edited by altus; 04-25-2014 at 07:34 AM.
