Ok, I only saw one of the same model that I have and it was an Austin with long horn scales.

Here is a St. Louis with original scales. It has been lovingly honed but gave great shaves. I haven't used it in a while, I might have to remedy that.

Barber De Luxe. Good shaver. Needs a good polishing.

Thought I'd take a picture of my Austin Shumate. Gotta get it cleaned up one day (better scales, and a few scratches buffed out). All in all it's an excellent razor to shave with.

Someone on Reddit informed me I've joined the club, so since I made a user account here earlier today I suppose this'll do for an introduction post. Larry at Whipped Dog sent me two sight unseen razors and one of them was this: Received it yesterday along with another and it hasn't been used yet. It's covered in what I suspect to be vaseline, which is the reason for the odd glare in the picture. I'm not entirely sure what I've purchased or what the scales are made of, but after I've used the other blade for a week, I'll try this one out for comparison. I can't find out how to properly format this post, though. Paragraph management somehow doesn't work here it'd seem.

Forgot to ask, does anyone know anything about that razor? I found no names or numbers that told me anything. All I can tell is that it's from the 1920-1932 St Louis era.
