Back on topic, I hope that's not common of all Shumate razors. I got one I just got done honing & two more on the way!

Nope not all come that way. This one was fine before it went out.

I put this one into the rotation tonight.

I got a shave off of her 2 years ago, but my honing has improved, so she will visit the coticle tomorrow.

Here's my latest additions. Originally, I got the faux tortoiseshell scaled one in a bundle. It had a small chip in the blade & I was ready to part it out since this newbie (with over 4M posts) never heard of Shumate. A guy that hones razors for me on occasion told me that the Shumate brand was very good. So I put a little effort in it & it turned out well. Fine shave.

TBH, I really don't know what happened. But there's a couple here that thinks it's a conspiracy.

I just picked up this beautiful Peacemaker today. I now have 6 Shumates and counting.

Looks to be in great condition.
