Hi Mike, first of all congrats for your score.
So, what you got here is a
名宝 Meihō - the meaning is famous (名) treasure (宝)
東研 Tōken - 東 (East) and 研 (polish or sharpen)
Even though I have seen it many times, I don't know what "F.M. 77" stands for.
They might be the first letters of the name/surname of the maker.. Just my guess.

    Hope this helps.

    Question

anyone help out with this kanjo/hanzi... it would be much appreciated.

my japanese friends don't thinks it's written by a japanese person and they can't figure out a context where it all make sense.

the words they say may be in there are "seed" "elder brother"

    thanks for the help

    Hi Globaldev,
Is this a kamisori, a knife?
Your friend is right... seems some strokes are missing.
What I have been able to read is last four kanji:

The first 2 might might be many things:

Size: 22.4 KB

the other 2 are 種 seed and 兄 brother
They might mean something together though.

I'll try to find the first 2 kanji.

    Hope this helps.

Maybe a signature? Yasui seems like it may be right

Hey I found this seller who sold this razor as Yasui Miyabe. So the kanji might be this 雅 and not this 種.
