Thanked: 735Perhaps I recieved the last two available (limited edition!). I had requested more, but I was told that they weren't able to get them for me, so I was shipped a couple 200's and 300's instead. I guess they are all out at the moment. They'll have to fire up the factory and pump some out.
Look closely at the pictures of the razor models. Mostly it is a matter of cosmetic differences (etch, no etch, double ground, or single ground, plain scales, "fancy" scales, etc.)

Boker
I see the problem with the blades but if you remember I had a new Boker with a similar problem to the top GD near the tip. The Boker took carefull honing but was a lot easier to fix than I thought. I have not worked many new razors but I do think these problems are fairly common.

Gold Dollar Razors
3 requests sent to them for shipping, form of payment and order details with no response from them. I apologize, but this may not materialize. If anything changes I will post it.

I too have sent them an email about three days ago, that has not been replied to. So perhaps Nancy is away, or there's a holiday of some sort. Being a communist country has its affects. Having lived the first 16 years of my life in one, I'm keenly aware of them. I wouldn't worry about it too much. She'll be back.

I think kenrup might be on to something by tacking it on to his next order. If hes willing to sell them right off the boat with a fair markup for his effort spent in achieving a working relationship with Nancy, that would be awesome. On top of that he's trustworthy, honest and knows the business. Just a thought.

I thought 95.00 for shipping was high too, but I'm no expert in ordering razors either. I'm a newb to straight razors but not business, just international business. It's kind of funny how some of the senior guys think because you may not know razors as well as they do that you somehow just can't be intelligent. I've received support for attempting to head a group buy however I've had some resistance too. I am wondering why this is (resistance)? I thought everyone here was all about supporting each other and to renew interest in this hobby.
