Wow that things big... But, no, I'm not talking about that razor in specific.. I'm getting scales akin to that done in blue paua, and they're going to be sized for my 6/8 (or 13/16.. can't tell... although I'm leaning to 6/8) World Master 194. I trust Max will know what he's doing... But, yeah.. Curvy scales, Blue paua, and a smooth, curvy razor. It'll look nice... To me at least... and that's what really counts in this scenario

    Jeepers!

That must be like shaving with an axe..!

I've seen a few pics of these and I've always liked the look of them, but I had no idea they were so massive!

I don't particularly care for the looks of framebacks. I also don't like razors with heavily tapered tangs or short, stubby looking tails.

Whoa, Jimmy, do you also get a Klingon-to-English dictionary with that razor? Holy cow, man, that is unbelievably cool.
Anyway, good luck fighting off Romulans in the Delta Quadrant with that blade! And if you really want to see a scary/cool looking Livi, check out Dave Stephens (Cannonfodder here), who has one that even beats yours.

Oh man Jimmy I'm sorry but the brown scales look like a giant slug to me, it's freaking me out! The blade looks cool though that's for sure.

Personally I like any scales that are made of natural materials. Most factory scales are displeasing to me, the word generic comes to mind. I have found that I am getting away from round toed razors though...

+1 on the natural materials. I too am seeing the benefit of any point besides a round toe, but I just can't bring myself to get rid of the one I have. I don't find it that much of a detriment, but I do find myself leaning to the far more utilitarian squares.

For me it's flat scales. I like scales to have a rounded contour, or at least some rounding on the edges.

The thin plastic that's just cut out and has a couple of holes punched in it for the pins is very boring to me. Vintage or not, that stuff gets ripped off of my razors.

Thick scales. Thick, rounded scales drive me up the wall. I agree with the Klingon comment as well. Am I going to shave with it, or sneak up on someone in the jungle while holding it in my teeth? Scales that have been turned into a Geometry project or have finger scallops are a pass as well. Pins with no washers. Razors that seem to have a "tactical" purpose in mind. Not a huge fan of the flower washer/pin combo, unless it is done right. Oh, and anything new. Pass.
