I sent them a new email last night, as you suggested, and got a response this morning. So now I'm waiting for the official confirmation. Thanks for your help.

The reason is, this is the first forum and first thread I seem to have struck an offensive vein and by not attending to the thread just makes me feel safer. The razor has a huge collection of aficionados that any attempt on my part to express my feelings regarding this amazing razor will be taken the wrong way as it has been. Also, if I stay away it will reduce my temptation to fall into financial devastation by taking out a bank loan to get one. I have seen few things I have been so obsessed with in wanting. Up to this point in my life I have generally purchased pretty much what I wanted because my income was sufficient to handle it, but now that I am in retirement my income has dropped 49% of my gross. I also took early SS figuring I would not exceed the point where my returns would be less than if I had waited till 65.
I deeply appreciate your concern. It is pure American--true humanity to care about others. Again, thanks a lot.

I found I can use the Chromium oxide and skin to do pretty much any blade maintenance on most razors. Once in awhile I will go to my Naniwa 12k, then either my Escher or Ark Black to smooth out the shave. Then always back to the Mastro Livi. For daily use, the skin is amazing. I guess I can use all the stones I have to make a nice patio.

The pictures say it all , stunning razor, what more can I say mastro livi is very talented guy.
I now have three shaves under my belt with my new razor, and I love it. Delivers a deep close shave that leaves my skin in great condition.just the size of it and one swipe and my cheeks shaved.

How did you come up with the design? Did you just say "make me something cool" or did you specifically tell him you wanted those scales and the blue stuff on the blade for instance? Very cool razor to say the least!

When I ordered my custom razors, I stated what I wanted for the blade material, point, scales and left it up to the Mastro. I have never been disappointed. My razor with the antler scales is amazing. Mastro Livi felt the 6/8 blade was to small for the scale size and weight. He made the blade 7/8 and the balance is perfect. The Damascus steel with buffalo bone scales is my absolute favorite. Don at SRD sent me an e-mail and said wait till you see this. When I opened the box all I could say is WOW. The blade and scale pattern are perfect. They really compliment each other. Shaves smooth as silk and the balance fits my hand like a clove. Far exceeds anything I could have dreamed. Default My Mastro Livi razor, at last: a wonderful life experience!

Oh, that razor with antler scales of yours is an inspiration and on my Mastro Livi shopping list.

Antler scales combined with Damasteel blade could create a beauty, and I do appreciate the comments about these scales working out better in a ⅞ size.
My only concern is weight, would you care to comment how it compares to other razors in the ⅞ size?

I think one of the best parts of Mastro Livi straight razor making is to take huge advantage from his over sixty years of experience in this field. He simply knows a straight razor like no other, sometimes it seems to me straight razors talk to him and, of course, he talks to them, too... :-)
Whenever he makes a straight razor for me, I tell him what I want the razor to be, I sometimes contributes with my own ideas about aesthetics but, at the end, I trust each word he says about the making. I know he is always right on what he says and his straight razors are there to prove this. When he suggests something or tells me something would be better if made differently, I simply accept the suggestion and let him do his job in which, no doubt about this, is a real master, the ultimate master.
