    Just WOW!!!!!
That is absolutely beautiful!!! Congratulations on your razor and the journey building up to it.

I really cannot look away from those scales, probably the most gorgeous set I have ever seen!

They remind me of images of deep space stars and constellations. Maybe you should call it the 'constellation piece', if you haven't already given it a name?

    Nick.

Thank you for the offer, but I am afraid I cannot help you on this. When I went to Mastro Livi's shop all I knew I wanted olive tree wood for my scales. When the Mastro showed me this indigo Buckeye Burl, I had to change my mind, like to say, love at first sight!

    Dear Gentlemen,
I read all of your comments and I am very glad to see all the deep appreciation you expressed about my Mastro Livi razor and the work of Mastro Livi as well. I too am elated about my razor and I understand what I have is an unique masterpice of talent, art, technique and craftmaship. I consider this a privilege.
Later this morning I will shave with this razor and I will certainly post my comments and remark about it. I am sure it will be just wonderful.

Once again, thank you very much indeed to you all and, last but not the least, thank you very much indeed to Mastro Livi for his art.

This is the "certificate of origin" stating the authenticity of a Mastro Livi razor. Every straight razor made by Mastro Livi comes with a certificate like this. Hand signed by Mastro Livi, of course (bottom right).
