The Day? Sunny and 24ºF / -4ºC. The Shave? Close and clean in two. Very assertive and smooth razor, Started at 4 and buffed at 2. Other players did well and my face is polished for the day

    Hot Towel Prep
    Mitchell's Wool Fat
    New Forest #2201 Superior Badger
    Ralf Aust 7/8 Spanish Point
    Neil Miller's Shell Cordovan&Natural Linen .. 35/55
    Witch Hazel
    D.R. Harris Sandalwood AfterShave Splash

I'm a wee bit out of sync, but here's today's humble offering ..

I love the hot towel prep, and I'm making the most of it before warm weather makes it uncomfortable, and I'm seeking cooler shaves. 'Da Fat and Sandalwood splash is a most favored combination.

I'm a long time blood donor. The little ones pictured are why .. We've been blessed with good health, but there are many not so fortunate. I now give red blood cells by the ALYX process, so, three donations a year and I'm done. It's the "Gift of Life...", costs us nothing, and repays us in so many ways.

    Default W&B

Today’s slot belongs to the 4/8 W&B, another wedge that it is not so easy to hone; it came to me a while ago in need of scales, so I made horn pantaloons for it. I have attached a couple of pics of this process. Honing this beauty was assisted by a 600 grit Chosera with slurry that helped in setting the bevel, next a 1K and a 5K Naniwas to sharpen some more and finally a 10K Naniwa to polish to a mirror a finish. I used a Chubby 2 badger hair and some Coates shaving cream for suds, followed by Razorock alum and a splash of Spanish Floid Vigoroso. Take Care. HOG
