Robert, I'm by no means an expert on the subject. I will say that I have each of the ones you mention and don't find an appreciable difference in them, especially not a difference that prices seem to indicate. I will note that most of mine have been rescaled due to lack of original scales, therefore I can't compare the razors from that perspective. I'm sure there are some true experts on here that can give you some actual differences between them. I tend to prefer the shave of the Wonderedge and Special #1 by a slight bit. For me, the shave is the bottom line and I haven't found an significant difference between them. Originally Posted by BladeRunner001

I, personally, don't differentiate between the Goldege and #1...they are equally good, to me. It could be my "not so mature" discrimination of str8 edges
