The picture shot is what I see facing East from the back of the house. I got up at the crack of dawn so I got myself a very early shave. Refreshing I would say. We finally had some rain yesterday and some clouds this morning but those are already dissipated by now. The sun is already peeking through.
    Have a great WK.
    Hey Max,
Lovely shot . You guys got rain? I am jealous...send some of it our way. We could use some down here too

PS: so, this 17-55mm lens is your go-to lens, heh? Aren't hey great. I have the Tamron brand.

Yeah rain...only it was very local so I basically got 50 drops while 10 miles further it was pouring. Those were the first 50 drops of rain I've had since April.

Indeed. An expensive lens but one of Nikon's best. I also own the Tamron 28-75 XR DI which is one of Tamron's best. My next camera will be full frame. Sell of the DX Nikon lens and get myself the Nikon 17-35 lens which I had owned but swapped at the time for the 17-55 DX .

    Default QUICK FRIDAY SHAVE

    PREP: Shower with face wash
    RAZOR: Dovo "special"
    BRUSH: Custom Nib
    SOAP: Tabac
    ASTRINGENT: Superhazel
    ASB: AV ASB
    AS: AV
    EDT:Bath and Body Works"NOIR"
    RESULT: Close and comfortable..

Sorry no outdoor pic today, going to be a busy day with errands ect, but could not look like a caveman and needed to shave. The Dovo sent my 2/3 days growth flying! Tabac is always a great soap to use. I tend to face lather with it and is a good change of pace . Aqua Velva i would say is my go to AS. Its what my Dad uses and has always used and it is very nostalgic. Cant seem to get him sold on using the Aqua Velva ASB but then again his skin is tough like leather.

LOVED THIS WEEKS SOTD PICS SO FAR ITS BEEN AMAZING TO CATCH A GLIMPSE INTO WHERE ALL MY BROTHERS SPEND THERE DAYS/NIGHTS!

    Cologne: Penhaligon Blenheim Bouquet
Picture: Today's picture is not of my immediate surroundings, but of a place where I thought would be a "perfect", serene location to have a great shave - i.e., the Grand Canyon - one of the seven "Natural" wonders of the world. This panoramic shot was taken when my wife and I were there in 2008 as part of out Zion-Bryce Canyon-Grand Canyon road trip. And of course, the gear pictured was was actually used in my shave this morning.
Result: I decided to use Max' redone "Bow" again this AM. I can;t seem to get away from this beauty. As always, CarrieM's Black Raspberry Vanilla creme did not disappoint and delivered the goods on demand (but I am running out of this wonderful sample and will be shooting off an order to CarrieM soon). The shave was once again awesome...what a sharp and beautiful blade. I love the feel and weight in my hands. What a way to end a busy week .

TGIF gentlemen. Have a great Friday .

Razor: 5/8 Geo. Wostenholm Pipe Razor, Full Hollow, Round Point
    Pre-Shave: Proraso Crema Pre Barba
    Soap: Classic Shaving Lilac
    Mug: Ceramic Man O War
    Scuttle: RAB Ceramic
    Brush: Medium Badger
    ASB: Nivea Replenishing
Aftershave/Cologne: Georgio of Beverly Hill for Men

Results: Always super fine with the Wosties!

Local color shot is of Crater Lake, a short Motorcycle ride away. The Oregon Freemasons perform an outdoor Third (Master Mason) degree at Crater Lake every year in August. The conifer forest and the secluded area is ideal and the scenery is awe inspiring. This lake was formed when Mt. Mazama, a dormant volcano, blew it's top. It put 3 1/2 times more material into the air than the eruption of Mt. St. Helens did about 30 years ago. It is the deepest lake in North America.

In a hurry today because i had two hearings in Court, so couldn't take a full shot. Thus, I decided I'd find a good representation of my area.

    The kit today consisted of:

    Strop: Kanayama
    Razor: Akatombow

    Brush: Shavemac Silvertip
SC: Bomb (custom scent - incredible)
    ASB: Bomb (custom scent)
EdT: Penhaligon's Hammam Bouquet (courtesy of RonnieNC)

The Akatombow gave me a tremendous BBS start to my day. I'm a huge fan of most things Japanese (and I don't just say that because of my wife ), but this frameback is amazing! The new Bomb scent that I tried out was wonderful: the petit grain carried through beautifully. The Hammam Bouquet is very nice and has great longevity so far!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!
