Local color shot is of Crater Lake, a short Motorcycle ride away. The Oregon Freemasons perform an outdoor Third (Master Mason) degree at Crater Lake every year in August. The conifer forest and the secluded area is ideal and the scenery is awe inspiring. This lake was formed when Mt. Mazama, a dormant volcano, blew it's top. It put 3 1/2 times more material into the air than the eruption of Mt. St. Helens did about 30 years ago. It is the deepest lake in North America.

Front yard view of our home.

Inset with gear taken in front of the impatiens in front of the house. It's a miracle they're still alive as they've grown through the netting we planted them under to keep the deer from eating them.

Unlike Glenn, we don't entirely embrace the wildlife that wanders through our yard. The deer eat our annual flowers, hydrangeas, and lilies. The armadillos dig up the flower beds. The only wildlife that don't cause a problem are the red-tailed fox that lives by the creek in the front yard and the owls & red-tailed hawks that kill the copperheads. If it weren't for the fact that we're within the city limits and neighbors are close, I'd take up bow hunting from the back porch

    Coming tomorrow: WAR EAGLE!!!!!

These photos were taken on an offroad bicycle trail I frequently ride. The section is known as "UB endo" because if you mess up you're going over the bars. I can personally attest to the validity of that statement. You can see the chainring marks on the log over the shaving bowl. If you get through the gator backs getting over the log isn't as bad as it looks.

Makes me want to break out the MTB. I miss having good aggressive singletrack!

I have several friends pro photographers and they do like the D700. Best is to use only full frame lenses.
That thing should be nice...if they release it in time...who knows. Price should be very reasonable for a full frame

    Default Friday Morning Shave

Semogue 830 | Provence Sante Soap | 5/8 Boker Edelweiss | Thayers WH | AOS Sandalwood | Tabac Eau De Cologne

Sorry about the poor SOTD pic quality, but I have not had time or light by the time I get home from work to take a decent picture. SOTD pic was taken from my balcony. The other pic was actually from last weekend. It was taken at Sagamore Hill, the former home of Teddy Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States. The view is of Cold Spring Harbor. All I could think about was getting home to shave!

...oh and the Provence Sante soap is very nice with a pleasant scent. The Edelweiss is still great!

You need to stop that; Robert is going to become very jealous of you and your penguin!
