The Akatombow gave me a tremendous BBS start to my day. I'm a huge fan of most things Japanese (and I don't just say that because of my wife ), but this frameback is amazing! The new Bomb scent that I tried out was wonderful: the petit grain carried through beautifully. The Hammam Bouquet is very nice and has great longevity so far!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Was waiting for a pic of that razor. Thanks.

Yeah rain...only it was very local so I basically got 50 drops while 10 miles further it was pouring. Those were the first 50 drops of rain I've had since April.

PS: so, this 17-55mm lens is your go-to lens, heh? Aren't hey great. I have the Tamron brand.

Indeed. An expensive lens but one of Nikon's best. I also own the Tamron 28-75 XR DI which is one of Tamron's best. My next camera will be full frame. Sell of the DX Nikon lens and get myself the Nikon 17-35 lens which I had owned but swapped at the time for the 17-55 DX .
Which kind? Have you seen the Nikon D3line...especially the D3X with their ~6µ pixels and 16-bit color depth (I think)? That thing is a thing of beauty. $$$$, but niiiiiice. Downside: it's HUGE and heavy. A friend had the D700 (full frame) but didn't like it. I am actually thinking about one too.

    Pamplona, at Night,

Nice shots José and nice camera. That looks like a bridge camera (not point and shoot and not DSLR either...something in between)...but, yet it looks like you can interchange lenses? That's a great lens BTW.

    Friday afternoon shave;
    Black Diamond C.S. Bresnick
    Shavemac
    QED Sandalwood
    Murray & Lanman Florida Water

These photos were taken on an offroad bicycle trail I frequently ride. The section is known as "UB endo" because if you mess up you're going over the bars. I can personally attest to the validity of that statement. You can see the chainring marks on the log over the shaving bowl. If you get through the gator backs getting over the log isn't as bad as it looks.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Yes, you are right I can use old and new lenses with adapters, it's a new format of sensor, micro 4/3, a bit smaller than an APS/C sensor.

This range of cameras (there are models of Panasonic and Olympus) make possible to use a good quality camera in a size smaller than a regular SLR. I use Rokkor lenses, but there are people using Voigtlander, Leica, Canon, Konica,......even lenses of cinema cameras as angenieux or Carl Zeiss ,....

    Default Friday

    Pre shave: warm shower
    Shave soap: C&E Nomad
    Shave cream: C&E Nomad
    Brush: shavemac Best Badger
    Razor: shavemac Dovo 5/8"
    Astingent: Witch hazel
    Cologne: C&E Nomad

Front yard view of our home.

Inset with gear taken in front of the impatiens in front of the house. It's a miracle they're still alive as they've grown through the netting we planted them under to keep the deer from eating them.

Unlike Glenn, we don't entirely embrace the wildlife that wanders through our yard. The deer eat our annual flowers, hydrangeas, and lilies. The armadillos dig up the flower beds. The only wildlife that don't cause a problem are the red-tailed fox that lives by the creek in the front yard and the owls & red-tailed hawks that kill the copperheads. If it weren't for the fact that we're within the city limits and neighbors are close, I'd take up bow hunting from the back porch

    Coming tomorrow: WAR EAGLE!!!!!

Successor of the D700 which is due, God knows when. I have time and patience. :-)
I have several friends pro photographers and they do like the D700. Best is to use only full frame lenses.
