    Default SOTD 10-4-2010

    Prep: Hot shower
Strop: SRD Premium IV Bridle 25 webbing/50 leather
Brush: TGN custom silvertip in a cherry wood handle
    Scuttle: SRD
Uberlather: SRD Lime, Saint Charles Shave Unscented cream, 5 drops glycerin
    Razor: Livi 6/8
Result: The Livi delivered an effortlessly smooth shave. The SRD Lime whisped me away to somewhere warm while the scuttle kept the lather o so nice and warm (It's 35 degrees outside!). What a great way to start the work week!

Have a fantastic day gentlemen, you deservie it!

If you shoot one, they are pretty fresh.....If you don't hunt there are some places online that sell ends for knive making and such...I am trying to fit a hunt in this year for Nov 4th season elk. If I tag one, I'll send you an end...They also have two upper teeth that are ivory....Tusks that have evolved I guess? They are good for ends and inlay...

    Geneva Cutlery 6/8
    Edwin Jagger Best Badger
    Godrej Lime Fresh shave cream
    Thayers Cucumber WH w/ aloe
    Pashana Original after shave
    Anherb after shave conditioner

It's been about a week since I shaved with a straight...a decent nick kept me off my daily shaving regimen...had a very good shave with the Godrej lather (never as close as I can get with a DE, but I am working on it...). Good finish with the Pashana and Anherb. The Pashana has a very "old timey" scent that lasts for hours so no cologne or Edt is necessary.

Post Week of October 3 SOTD - Monday

    Shave: Vegas Style

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Pre-Shave Oil: Almond Oil
Razor: 6/8" Respecto #77, Hollow, Round Point
    Brush: 22mm Vulfix Super Badger
Superlather: CarrieM's "Citrus & Sage" Shave Creme + Mama Bear's Trade Winds Shave Soap
    Moisturizer: Calvin Klein One
Result: Last night, when we got in, we went and met up with Max, had a great Lasagna dinner (courtesy of John, aka Cabledawg) (Thank you Max and John). We will hook up again later this afternoon and hopefully I can get to see his impressive operation. I checked out his impressive str8 razor collection and boy, he's got some very very nice ones. No one messes with Max. At any rate, my wife and I slept in a little this morning...I had forgotten what that felt like. First shave in Las Vegas today with the Respecto. Great smooth BBS. Even by Vegas standards. We are soon headed to have some breakfast and hang out on the strip.

I am using the old bowl of my uncle, my father found it in his house. Now I am the only in the family that enjoy the traditional way of shaving. My uncle was a professional photographer and I like to give him an hommage with this vintage looking picture.

Aura Glow as a Pre Shave Oil
    Gibbs Frescura Marinha Shave Cream
    Simpson's Ehsan 2 band
    John Holler Tower Brand 11/16ths
    SRD Premium I Strop .. 40 Linen/80 Leather
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Nivea AS Balm
    Aqua Velva Musk AS

If there's a better performing brush out there than the Ehsan, I hope to someday find it... It just does everything well.
The Marine Fresh Cream has already become a favorite. I only bought one tube, but next time I order from Vintage Scent, there will be more!
